Mark your agency for application as the state where you want a license to practice veterinary medicine, because that is the state your NAVLE scores will be sent. You can take your NAVLE in a state other then the state you are seeking approval from. If you plan to practice in more than one state or are unsure of where you will be practicing, use the AAVSB's VAULT service after you graduate and pass the NAVLE.
State and Provincial Licensing Boards
The NAVLE is only administered to graduates of AVMA accredited veterinary schools, senior students at AVMA accredited schools, or foreign graduates enrolled or have completed either the ECFVG or PAVE program. If enrolled, you must complete step 3 of your program to be eligible to take the NAVLE. If you have not graduated, you must have an expected graduation date of no later than 10 months from the last day of the testing window.
