There are two main eligibility paths. Path one is through an AVMA Council on Education (COE) accredited program: either as a graduate, or as an enrolled student expected to graduate within 10 months of the end of the testing window (senior students may attempt the NAVLE up to two times before graduating). Path two is through certification: ECFVG candidates must first pass the BCSE, and PAVE candidates must first pass the QSE, before applying for the NAVLE.
