Which ICVA assessment is right for my situation?
Getting StartedICVA administers several distinct assessments, and most candidates only ever take one or two of them.
The NAVLE (North American Veterinary Licensing Examination) is the exam required for licensure in the U.S. or Canada, typically ordered by you through a U.S. licensing board or the National Examining Board (NEB).
The NAVLE Self-Assessment is an optional practice exam you purchase individually (or may receive as a voucher through your veterinary school) to gauge your readiness.
The VEA (Veterinary Educational Assessment) is given mid-curriculum by your veterinary school, not something you sign up for yourself.
Species Specific Exams (Companion Animal or Equine Medicine) are ordered by a licensing board, never by an individual candidate directly.
The Wisconsin Laws and Rules Exam is required only if you're seeking licensure in Wisconsin specifically.
