Assessment Development Committee Nominations are Open

Assessment Development Committee Nominations are Open

The ICVA is putting out a call for nominations for four (4) open positions on the Assessment Development Committee (ADC) with the term beginning in June 2026. The open positions are for experts in the Bovine-Dairy, Exotic Companion Animal, Poultry, and Small Ruminant areas. Nominees should have knowledge and experience with one of these areas in the context of private clinical practice and/or practice of veterinary medicine at accredited veterinary schools.

The ADC is responsible for the main content areas of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE®). The NAVLE is a requirement for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in all licensing jurisdictions in the US and Canada.

Duties include assisting ICVA in identifying NAVLE® item writers and participating in item and form review meetings. Terms for ADC members are three years, with the ability to serve up to three terms.

Nominations must be received by April 3, 2026.
