Expanded March 1 - May 31, 2021 NAVLE Application Now Available
The ICVA NAVLE application deadline for the extended March 1 - May 31 examination is February 1, 2021. Applications and any required supporting documentation must be received in the ICVA office by that date. Candidates must also be approved by a licensing entity in order to take the examination. Some state NAVLE application deadlines are earlier than February 1, so you should check with the licensing entity through which you are applying to determine their application deadline and requirements. Additional information regarding the application process can be found on the NAVLE Information and Application page.
Candidates who took the November-December 2020 NAVLE, and who do not achieve a passing score, will have the opportunity to apply for the extended March 1 - May 31, 2021 NAVLE after scores are released in January. These candidates must submit the ICVA NAVLE application, and be approved by their state licensing board.
Check the state map to see if you need to submit state paperwork to your state licensing board (or processor) or if ICVA processes your state paperwork. Some state boards require repeating candidates to submit additional state NAVLE application information for the subsequent April NAVLE, and some states automatically re-approve November-December failing candidates to repeat the examination in March - May.
Canadian National Examining Board candidates must reapply through the NEB by the NEB's repeating candidate application deadline, and should contact the NEB office for additional information.
